Hallam Cycle Agency in 1910. The Newton residence can be seen on the right. (Tasmanian Illustrated Mail 22 Sep 1910) Mr Newton later moved to 48 High Street some time in the 1920s?

Alfred De Jersey's Boot Emporium. The earlier shop was demolished some time between 1947 and 1953 to build the new two storey De Jersey's store. The original residence was left intact behind the new retail building.
